THE NORTH BEE STORE FRONT - A Creatively Unique, One-of-a Kind, Destination Store Full of Handcraftred Goodness from the Hive

The storefront is located in the Village of Webster on rt 250. The address is 27 North Avenue, Webster, NY 14580. (585)-213-2292

We are right off the expressway exit and across from the Waffle Factory and the Veterans Gazebo Park.

You can park in one of the 3 parking spaces in front of the store or at any of the village parking lots to make easy access for your visit. If you driving from a far, (YES!, we are a destination store) please call to confirm I am open. In the beekeeping season I may have to close the store to tend bees. They do not wait until I have time. I have to make the time.

Stocking the Honey Stick Ladder

A ladder full of honey sticks from natural to watermelon and all kinds of flavors and memories in between. What child, or grown up for that matter, doesn’t love honey sticks!! Come on in and find your favorite flavor.

As a beekeeper and honey fanatic I appreciate the many differences in the tastes and textures of honey. I source honey from all across the country and even Manuka honey from New Zealand. You can find everything from Alfalfa honey (Pennsylvania) to Eucalyptus honey (California) and even Saw Palmetto (Florida). You can even pickup Whipped Matcha or Lemon Ginger. Perhaps you have a taste for hot honey. How about Ghost Pepper or Habanero! Have you ever tried honey and walnuts? Yep, you can get that, too!

Of course, our own raw local honey is available and pulled often through out the season. Spring honey is light and delicate, while summer honey lends more sweetness. My favorite is the fall honey, which is dark and flavorful.

Handcrafted Goodness from the Hive and then some.

I love extracting, rendering and creating with beeswax. Products from the Hive are first and foremost in my store, followed by body products, household, ready to give gift items and wellness items. Not only do I make and personally source the items, my family and I use them, too.

The heart of the store are customer favorites and customer requests. The inventory is a mostly handcrafted and small business products and always in small batches. I try to keep your favorites stocked but feel free to ask if you do not see it on the shelf. Most often my reply is, “stop back next week and I will have it for you.”

If I am not creating the product myself I source from other small businesses and am always on the hunt for some varietal of honey or infusion I currently do not have. If you are a local small business that thinks your product would be a fit, reach out! I’d love to chat.

My local beeswax is used to create skin care, household, pet and decorative items - all but candles, for now. You can always find a large selection of beeswax candles in the store, most of the candles are made right here in nearby Canandaigua and Ithaca, NY. Beautiful colored beeswax tapers are sourced from Bluecorn Beeswax in Colorado, along pillars, votives and tealights. Decorate your space with natural beauty.

While the great stuff always stays on the shelves, come back often to find new and exciting goodies!

YES, you can bring the kids to the beeswax and honey health and wellness gift shop!! We have a Beekeeping Sensory Room for them to enjoy while you are visiting.

The store is the only honey and beeswax shop in the Finger-Lakes region of New York to offer an experience for children; their senses and curiosity all while you shop. (adults can enjoy it too!) There is a bee activity for the tiny ones and coloring pages for the older kiddos. They can even color a bee page and hang it on the coloring wall in exchange for a honey stick. Anytime you are in the Rochester area be sure to stop in and say hello!

Certain times of year the bees are with me in an observation hive which is always something to keep you (and I) amazed! Call ahead if you are coming for that reason. It varies due to weather.

Ask me about presentations on and off site for all ages. Learn about the social behavior of the bees, the waggle dance, how many eggs a queen bee lays each day and more. Kiddos can play a game, make a craft or even be like a bee and transfer nectar from the flowers to the honeycomb cells on the frames. My presentations are tailored to the audience. Nursery school, church group, ladies auxiliary, garden club, senior living, etc These can even include honey tasting and product sampling. If your group or organization would like to add a private sale event, just let me know. I’ll be sure to bring products for sale I know you will like. This has become a fun way to learn and shop.
